So, when I was a child I addicted to listening good music. I mean rock music.
My dad is a big fan of The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, Paul Weller, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and AC/DC. And I learned with him to love these artists.
I used to say that I’ve got moods, poetry, love, and dreams inside. A little bit of music, maybe a bit of everything.
Of the Brazilians artists I like Cazuza, Tim Maia, Wilson Simonal and Roberto Carlos. Also, my godfather was the Wilson Simonal’s doctor and the day I met him was unforgettable.
He was very sick and tired, but he sang a song to me!! I was 15 at the time and I felt anxiety and joy at the same time, but my mother was at my side, holding my hand.
The song is called “Vesti Azul”, and with a weak voice, he sang:
Estava na tristeza que dava dó
Vivia vagamente e andava só
Mas eis que de repente
Me apareceu um brotinho lindo
Que me convenceu…
Dizendo que eu devia
Vestir azul
Que azul é cor do céu
E seu olhar também
Então o seu pedido
Me incentivou…
Vesti Azul!
Minha sorte então mudou
Vesti Azul!
Minha sorte então mudou…
Now, if you ask me what my favorite color is, I will say to you: It is blue, certainly. And what’s my favorite type of music? I will say: It is rock’n’roll, fact. And by the way, if you ask me which famous person that I would like to know, I will say: Paul Weller, of course. Because I think he could lead me with him to paradise.
